Who builds and maintains akshara.dev — background, focus areas, and how this site is put together.

Akshara Hegde

I'm Akshara Hegde, a full-stack engineer and open-source contributor. I build products, developer tools, and AI-powered apps, mostly in public so the bugs have witnesses. Outside of shipping code, I write short stories and essays about systems, productivity, and why the thing that should've taken an hour took a week.

This site, akshara.dev, is my personal portfolio, blog, and changelog. It's also a free, open-source Nuxt template — anyone can fork it and run their own content-driven portfolio on top of Nuxt Content, Nuxt Studio, and Nuxt UI.

What I work on

  • Developer tools — CLIs, scrapers, and utilities like Crawlboy and ThreatPkg, built to solve problems I ran into myself.
  • Open source — maintaining and contributing to projects across the Nuxt, Vue, and Python ecosystems. See Projects for the full list.
  • Writing — implementation notes, retrospectives, and essays on the blog, syndicated to Ink.
  • AI-native workflows — Claude Skills, MCP, and agent tooling, documented on the Resources page.

How this site is built

The stack is Nuxt 4, Nuxt Content, Nuxt UI, and Tailwind CSS, deployed as a static/edge-rendered site. Design tokens and UI guidelines are published as a machine-readable DESIGN.md, and the site exposes an llms.txt so AI agents can understand what it is and when to use it without scraping the whole thing.

Get in touch
